Nvidia's Personal AI Supercomputer Available October 15th

Nvidia's DGX Spark, a "personal AI supercomputer," launches on October 15th for $3,999. Compact yet powerful, it democratizes AI access by offering desktop-level advanced modeling capabilities.

Starting this week, Nvidia is launching sales for its DGX Spark, dubbed a "personal AI supercomputer." This device offers advanced AI modeling capabilities while remaining compact enough to sit on a desk.

Nvidia has announced that the Spark will be available for online purchase through nvidia.com beginning Wednesday, October 15th. It will also be sold by selected partners and retailers within the United States. Initially revealed at a price of $3,000 earlier in the year, the DGX Spark is now priced at $3,999, as highlighted in an infographic from Nvidia’s press release. For instance, the Acer Veriton GN100, another model based on the platform, shares this price tag.

Spark provides performance previously only available through expensive, energy-intensive data centers. It aims to make AI accessible to a broader audience, especially benefiting researchers. During the initial announcement when it was known as Digits, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang remarked, “Placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”

Equipped with Nvidia's GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, 128GB of unified memory, and up to 4TB of NVMe SSD storage, Spark can manage AI tasks with significant power. It achieves a petaflop of AI performance — equating to a million billion computations per second — and handles models with up to 200 billion parameters. Compact yet powerful, it fits neatly on a desk and only needs a standard power outlet, earning its title as "the world’s smallest AI supercomputer."
